About Michael Dutro, PGA (the Force Plate Guy)

Michael Dutro, PGA, is a high-performance golf coach and the founder of Measured Golf, a state-of-the-art indoor performance center based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Known in the industry as “The Force Plate Guy,” Dutro has established himself as a leading expert in biomechanics and ground reaction forces. He was one of the first coaches in the United States to implement 3D Force Plate technology and is a certified Trackman Master Professional—a distinction held by fewer than 100 coaches worldwide. His approach centers on moving beyond subjective opinions to provide athletes with quantified, data-driven insights into their swings.

Dutro’s teaching philosophy focuses on understanding the "why" behind every movement, emphasizing how an individual's anatomy dictates their unique swing mechanics. Recognized as one of Golf Digest’s Best Young Teachers in America (2025-2026), and Golf.com’s Teachers to Watch (2026-2027), he works with a diverse range of students, from high-handicappers to touring professionals. Outside of his facility, Michael travels globally to consult and educate other coaches and players on the application of kinetics and kinematics in the golf swing.
