If your wingspan is a different length than you're height, that is going to create a geometric relationship within the human anatomy that is different than a person that has a wingspan that equals their height. Department stores sell short, regular, and tall sport coats for just this reason. The human being has a lot of internal variability and is also variable when compared to other human beings, therefore, trying to understand what makes us unique may be easier than trying to understand what makes us all alike.
Whether you believe in a shallow swing, a steep swing, one-plane, two-pane, or whatever you choose to call it, medical science can define it. Understanding that your body is configured to move in a particular pattern, and then applying specific training to repeat that pattern is key to playing your best golf yet.
Golf is simply a human being creating a motion on planet Earth. There are laws that govern the previous statement. It's time we stop trying to reinvent the wheel and worshiping the best players in the world and learn what is going to help you play your best golf .
Golf is part Kinematics and part Kinetics, that means that there is the part we can see (motion) and a part we can't see, and can only feel (forces). It's time to take a look at the whole picture, which requires a Kinetic system, which luckily we have in our Swing Catalyst Dual Motion Plates.
It's time to change the conversation and get serious about what improves performance and what waste your time.
If you have ever wanted to know what would happen if you had a coach in your life that was not only one of the best in the world, but also was totally aligned with your goals? Allow us to introduce Michael Dutro, PGA.
Michael, like most coaches is a failed tournament player who instead of washing his hands with golf, became obsessed with learning and understanding where he went wrong and vowing not to allow another athlete to make the same mistakes. In addition to traveling all around the world working with the best experts in their field, Michael has also developed strategic alliances with the best technology companies in the world to continue to push the application of the technology to the learning process. Michael strongly believes that both the "Art of Coaching" and the "Science of Coaching" must both be present for elite level training.
The best description of Michael would be his unwavering passion for improved performance. His commitment to his craft is second to none, and you would be hard pressed to find someone who loves what they do more in life more than him. He isn't for everybody, but he never pretended to be.

By addressing the root cause of the issue, Will is able to help players of all skill levels not only hit the golf ball better, but also create a safer motion which protects the body from injury.
Will's passion is only matched by his wit, and his commitment to learning is second to none.
Upon arriving at our facility located at 2019 W. Stadium BLVD in Ann Arbor, Michigan , you will enter the facility through the only door which is marked Measured Golf. Once inside, you will likely be greeted by Frankie, a Merle Labradoodle and Walter, an English Creme Retriever. Both are extremely friendly and are only seeking belly rubs and treats.
Just inside the door is an area to change your shoes and hang your coat and anything else you may want to put away during the coaching experience. If it is wet outside, please bring a dry pair of shoes to change into and be sure they are free from debris. Golf shoes are preferred, but not required.
We try to keep the facility around 68 degrees, and once swinging underneath the lights, it can feel much warmer so be sure to wear layers to your coaching experience. The facility will provide any water needed and there are two bathrooms as well that can be used for changing clothes if necessary.
At this point, you will have been greeted by a member of the Measured Golf team and they will assist you in getting you in the correct "bay" and notify your coach that you have arrived. If you need to do any stretching or exercises to warm up, please complete this prior to the coaching experience. Once ready, you will be asked to hit some warm up shots on the Trackman Simulator which will begin to form a baseline for your coach.
During the coaching experience, you will work one-on-one with a Coach who will give you their undivided attention. During the coaching experience, the coach may use the following technology; Trackman 4 Launch Monitor, Swing Catalyst Dual Motion Plates, SportsBox AI 3D Motion Capture, Video Analysis, Etc.. This information will be kept private unless the coach has your authorization to share this information.
It will be the job of your coach to "translate" the data for you, so not understanding what each number means is okay. It is also the job of the coach to help you better understand what is actually going on, and more importantly, what needs to be changed to create the ball flight we intend. The information will be presented in a clear, and relatable way and plenty of opportunity will be present for the athlete to ask questions about the measurements and concepts. This is a learning environment, not a performance environment, and keeping the information at a level that can be learned is paramount.
In addition to the coaching experience, a Trackman Report of the session can be sent via email to the athlete. Athletes will also leave with simple resistance bands/weight drills that can be accomplished to help create a better pattern matching their biomechanics.
