"99% of what is said about the golf swing is true, just not true for every person"
-Mike Adams, Ranked 2nd on Golf Digest Top 100 Instructors
When you understand that not every person has the same body, you begin to understand why we all can't have the same swing. This is why Measured Golf Certified Coaches screen the anatomy of every athlete and help them understand the "why" behind the "effect". Once the motion or swing (Kinematics) is better understood by completing the BioSwing Dynamics assessment (screen), we then utilize our Smart2Move Dual 3D Force Plates (measures all three planes of motion) to help the athlete better understand how they create power.
If force precedes motion, and forces are invisible to the naked eye, than how are you going to truly understand your swing without having a way to measure the way you create motion (Ground Reaction Forces)?
Whether it is your first "golf lesson" ever, or your 100th, it still can be intimidating to even the most seasoned golfer. Rest assured, you can expect to be greeted upon arriving and a member of the Measured Golf staff will check your temperature and ask you to apply hand sanitizer once the temperature is deemed safe. Mask will be required for not only yourself, but also all of the Measured Golf staff as a safety precaution during these unprecedented times.
Once safety protocols are taken care of, you may use our lobby area to change into a clean and dry pair of tennis shoes (golf shoes not required) and may take advantage of the water provided and restrooms in the common area of the building.
During the lesson, you will have the undivided attention of the coach you are working with and should expect his/her 100% commitment to helping you understand the "why" behind the effect and help you develop a plan to reach your goals. During an initial coaching session a physical screen of your anatomy will be completed and provided to you at the end of your coaching session. The physical screen takes roughly 5 minutes and is completed with a tape measure and includes measuring the following: Height, Wingspan, Upper-Arm Segment, and Lower-Arm Segment. The rest of the screen is completed while swinging the golf club.
In addition to using the physical screen, various training aides may be used by the instructor at his/her discretion. Trackman 4, TM4 Video, Smart2Move Force Plates, and Hackmotion technologies may also be employed by the instructor at his/her discretion.
At the conclusion of your coaching experience, you will be given a very detailed breakdown of what was accomplished and how that will affect your ball-flight during your practice/playing sessions. You will also be given ample time to ask questions throughout the coaching experience as well as at the end.
